Awesome (adj) is such a popular slang word in English all over the world and you’ll hear everyone from the young to old saying it. When you use the word awesome, you’re expressing that you think something is wonderful or amazing. It can be used in a sentence or it could be used in a one word reply.

Three Curricular Reasons Why Japanese People Can’t Speak English

1. Inadequate reinforcement of the lessons.  It’s not that the grammar-translation method doesn’t work, it’s that it’s not backed up by something more.  School students get a lesson once a week if they’re lucky, for less than an hour.  That lesson explains grammar and introduces vocabulary.  And then . . . whooosh, you might as well send them to Siberia.  Japanese kids have tons of words and a smattering of grammar, but no examples of how to use the stuff in action.  They need reinforcement:  real-world materials showing the variety of ways in which words are actually used.  There’s no reading program, no opportunities for conversation or presentation, no schedule for watching movies.  The grammar explanation isn’t the problem.  It’s that it isn’t rounded out with further study.

2. Classroom control. Now, if you’re a teacher, you can probably relate to this.  Traditional, lecture-centric teaching requires everyone to shut up and pay attention to you.  It’s just that there’s a fine line between classroom control and turning your class into a mini prison.  Shut everyone up too much and you can’t restart them.

Lincoln was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky on Feb 12, 1809. Raised by poor parents, he received less than a year of formal education by the time he reached the age of 21. His primary means of education was schooling at home, using borrowed books and the Bible.

At the age of 22, he moved to the Illinois village of New Salem in 1831, and continued his self-education by borrowing books and teaching himself subjects such as grammar, history, mathematics, and law. He worked as a store clerk in two different general stores. He taught himself surveying, and worked part time at this vocation. He was also appointed postmaster, and served in the militia for 3 months during the Black Hawk war.

How to Enjoy the Deliciousness of Fruits!

Date:2009-12-31

Taiwan produces a great variety of such delicious fruits throughout the year as strawberry and pineapple in spring, mango and watermelon in summer, pomelo and carambola in autumn, or jujube and wax apple in winter. These fruits are so delicious that foreigners are reluctant to leave the county after tasting them. And just like top red wine, you can enjoy the elegant aroma, color and aftertaste of Taiwanese fruits.

Chances are if you've traveled to Taiwan, it's been on business. And there's a very good chance that you've hurried in and out of Taipei as fast as your business allowed. At least this was true for me until Michael, a Taiwanese business associate, invited me to his son's wedding and to join him and his wife May on a trip to see more of their country. My week in Taiwan was so enriching that I was moved to share the top reasons why you are depriving yourself of an unforgettable travel and cultural experience if you don't take time to see more of this fabulous island the next time your business takes you to Taiwan.
